FAQs

When should I order my wedding stationery?

From design to delivery expect your save the dates to take 3-5 weeks, invitations 4-6 weeks and for on the day stationery and signage, allow 6-8 weeks.

For bespoke suites or suites with a bespoke flower scheme, add an extra 2 weeks to these times.

I recommend booking in advance to secure your studio slot.

When should I send my save the dates and invitations?

As a general rule, send your save the dates a year before your wedding, and your invitations 4-6 months before. If you’re not going for save the dates, then send your invitations a little sooner.

How is the stationery produced?

Production for foil is done by me using my very own hot foil press. For any digital printing, I use a trusted selection of handpicked suppliers.

The finishing and assembly of your stationery is also done by me to ensure each and every piece is made to perfection.

What is the difference between foil-pressed stationery and digitally printed stationery?

Foil-pressed stationery is individually printed by hand, using a hot foil press. Each piece of paper is physically stamped with a metal plate and foil at around 90°C, leaving a beautiful (and shiny!) indentation in the paper. Digital printing has a flat finish, without a metallic colour.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

Although I don’t have a minimum order quantity, the individual price per invitation will be a little higher for a lower quantity than it is for a higher quantity. You can enquire here for a personalised quotation.

How can I check your availability?

If you’d like to check my availability before getting your hearts set, you can send me a message here, email me at gina@gableandgrain.com, or DM me on Insta.

Can you accommodate rush jobs?

More often than not I’ll be able to meet your deadline, but this will depend on the complexity of your stationery and how busy I am. Please contact me to check my availability. A rush fee may be charged, which is dependent on your order and will be outlined in your quotation.

How do I book?

Once you are happy with your quotation, let me know you’d like to book! I will send you an invoice for your deposit/s, which will secure your studio slot/s.

I kindly ask for a 25% deposit for each part of your stationery (save the dates, invitations and ‘on the day’ stationery).

What does your stationery cost?

The price of your stationery depends a lot on the quantity you need, as well as how many cards and embellishments you wish to have as part of your suite.

For save the dates and invitations, the average Gable & Grain couple spends between £1000 and £5000+ or $1500 and $7000+. For a full suite of stationery including save the dates, invitations and ‘on the day’ stationery, the average couple spends between £2000 and £9000+ or $2500-$11000+.

Can I order samples of your stationery?

I have already booked but I would like to add addressed envelopes to my order. Is this possible?

Yes, you can add anything to your order right up until the point of production. We will make any additional costs clear to you before adding them to your remaining balance. Please bear in mind that this may cause a slight delay in receiving your stationery.

My stationery has recently travelled to the US, Canada, Australia, Norway, France, Taiwan and not forgetting England!
